A Receita Federal anunciou nesta quinta-feira (12) que vai disponibilizar um novo recurso de atualização de dados cadastrais do CPF (Cadastro de Pessoas Físicas) em seu site na internet, na próxima segunda-feira (16).
O novo serviço ficará disponível 24h por dia, inclusive nos feriados e finais de semana. Poderão usar o serviço brasileiros e estrangeiros residentes no Brasil, sem restrição de idade. A Receita estima que cerca de 191 milhões de pessoas vão utilizar o serviço. Para fazer uso do recurso e atualizar os dados, como nome, endereço e telefone, o contribuinte deverá preencher um formulário no Site da Receita.
Segundo a instituição, o atual serviço presencial de alteração de CPF continuará sendo disponibilizado em unidades de atendimento dos Correios, do Banco do Brasil e da Caixa Econômica Federal sem alterações. Nesse caso, há cobrança de tarifa de serviço no valor de até R$ 7,00.
De acordo com o anúncio, o novo serviço promete simplificar o processo de verificação da autenticidade do comprovante de inscrição e da situação cadastral, além de reduzir os riscos de fraudes, visto que os dados dos comprovantes do CPF com o QR Code (presente no novo site) serão validados em tempo real com as informações constantes na base de dados da Receita Federal.
